SmartCarry® concealed carry holsters are also available in white. Constructed of heavy duty white duck cloth, these holsters are equally as rugged as the SmartCarry® holsters constructed of denim. We were contacted in April of 1998 by a Naval Officer in Annapolis, MD who wanted a holster to carry his Colt Mustang, but was concerned that the dark blue denim would show through his white uniform trousers. We informed him that we didn't believe it would, but, in the event that it did, we would make him a white extra small and exchange it for the denim holster.
He called us soon after receiving his holster to inform us that the blue denim did show through his uniform trousers. So Carolyn located a white, heavy duty duct cloth that looked as if it would wear just as long, or maybe even longer, than the denim we use. We constructed a white extra small SmartCarry® and shipped it to him. When he returned the denim XS, he put a note in the package asking us to charge his credit card and send him a white large for his Beretta 92. Since he has discovered how comfortable carry can be in a SmartCarry® concealed carry holster, he wants to carry his much larger Beretta!
We also put the SmartCarry® identification label on the holster rear, so there will be nothing dark on the holster front to show through clothing. We currently have a very good inventory of white SmartCarry® holsters and delivery time is as good as on our denim orders. Most orders are sent out the next mailing day after we receive them.
As for the durability of our white SmartCarry® holsters, I've been wearing one 12 to 17 hours a day, Monday through Friday and doing a gun show almost every weekend since April, 1998 and the large white SmartCarry® is showing very little wear. We're confident they will last as long as the denim versions. When I've worn this one as long as I have my denim SmartCarry®, I'll post it here! Note: I can now state, April 11, 1999, without reservations, that our white SmartCarry® holsters will last as long as our denim holsters!
