Charlie,

Everything that people have said about you is true! After all of the gyrations I put you through in ordering my holster last weekend, you still managed to ship it on Monday. Here it is Thursday and it was in my mail box when I went to get the mail... that's nothing but amazing, all the way from Florida to Utah in four days! Not only that, at the exact same time I ordered a grip extender for my P3AT from Las Vegas (212 miles) and it took the same amount of time to get here. I've fallen in love with the holster already, I'm wearing it right now as I'm sitting here typing this email, can't even hardly tell I've got it on. It's easy to draw and easy to get to the spare magazine. I'm wearing jeans and have the grip extender on my weapon, and there is still no patterning. My wife doesn't know it came and she has not said a thing about any difference in looks to my clothes. Pulling the shirt tail up over the back strap has taken away all of my previously mentioned concerns about the back strap showing when I bend over or sit down. The real test will come tomorrow when I wear it to work and everyone (all 372 eyeballs) is looking at me. Thanks again, I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

Charlie, what a holster! Everything you said is true. I know you know what a fantastic product you have but I have to tell you anyway. I looked everywhere for a holster that I could carry my P90 and still dress normally. My norm is jeans and a tee-shirt and the shirt is tucked in. I almost always tuck my shirt in, 22 years in the Air Force will do that to you. I just couldn't find a holster that I felt would allow me to do that. You product is exactly that holster. And as many of your customers have said, their loved ones can't even tell.

I have to share with you my personnel experience. Last night my wife and I meet some very good friends for dinner. We parked in the building's garage at around 1900 hrs and headed for the elevators. The garage had a few cars in it but we were alone. As we were waiting for the elevator my wife said to me. "I am glad you are here. these places make me very nervous". I just looked at her and tapped the P90 in the Smart Carry. She smiled back and her eyes said everything I needed to hear. As a man that can really make your day. Later when our friends arrived the normal round of hugs were dished out and no one was the wiser.

Thanks for a great holster at a very reasonable price.

Charlie,

Just got the Small SmartCarry V in the mail today. Fits perfectly and am sitting here with my Kahr PM9 and extended magazine in the pouches. Very comfortable and hardly notice that I have it on. Can wear anything and not be concerned about whether or not it's showing.

Great product for deep-cover! (but you and I both knew that.)

Charlie,

I received my holster and have been using it for the past week or so. I am able to carry my Glock 23 or my S&W 3913 and no one knows I am carrying. It is incredibly comfortable, in the car, walking, or being a couch potato. The wide elastic band holds it in place with no discomfort. I have been practicing drawing (unloaded of course) and am able to draw faster from my Smart Carry than with my iwb holster. It is phenomenal!

My wife asked me the other day why I stopped carrying my handgun, so I had to tell her all about it, she could not believe it. That says a lot about the deep concealment your product provides.

Thank you for such a fine product that exceeds expectations. I love it!

Charlie,

This is a great item! I'll be ordering one now for my 1911. Fyi, this is what I posted on 'survival.com'......

Well, after a great deal of procrastination, I ordered a SmartCarry. It arrived today, & I have just put it on. It is incredibly comfortable & I defy anyone, even with my "T" tucked in, to know I am carrying anything. However, it takes me a full second to draw - I will have to learn how to get it past a tight belt. I'll keep you posted (eventually) as to how better I get, as I practice.

......been playing about. Now down to a 1/4-sec, or there abouts. With my KelTec P3AT, I hook thumb into belt, suck in gut, use fingers to push whole holster upwards & belt downwards (& thus quickly pushing the gun grip above belt), & draw at same time.

Initial impressions:

Really cool, now I'm past that 1-sec draw. Guarantees that, here in Texas, I will now be able to wear nearly all the time.

Even very comfortable sitting at computer (as right now)

Plenty 'lower belly/groin' room still available for the 1911 - will order one for it.

Guessing this will be great for women who can (presumably) get quick access to something below the waist

I'm a convert.

Thanks again!

Charlie,

I ordered your holster for my Bersa Thunder 380 and it works very well. I have since bought a Taurus PT145 so I could have a "real" 45 cal. for carry without the weight of my 1911. My question is, the one I purchased for the Bersa works for the Taurus but is it the one you think it should be carried in?

I like the Smart Carry and use it in combination with others. But when I have to have total concealment it is the one I use.

Thank you, for a product that really does what it says it will do.

J. F.- Rockford, Ohio

Webmaster's note: we informed J. that he has the proper size for his Taurus PT145 w/ a 3.25" bbl and doesn't need another holster.

Hello!

I got my SmartCarry a few weeks ago and the only time I've taken it off is when I go to bed. I didn't tell my wife I had gotten one and wore it for over a week before telling her about it. She had absolutely no idea, even when I was just wearing lounge pants!

I was one of the somewhat skeptical people and it took me a couple of months of consideration before I finally went ahead and purchased one, and I'm so glad that I did!

I'm not a person who tucks his shirt in, so the little bump of the butt of the gun was never of any concern to me, but my true test came the other night when I attended an event where I had to dress up in dress pants, dress shirt, etc. It was the first time that I got up the courage to try wearing it without the additional concealment of an untucked shirt. Looking down I could still see the little bump and was self-conscious about it, asking my wife several times before I left if she could tell if I was armed, and she swore she couldn't.

I attended the event and nobody there had even the slightest clue. I was even talking to a guy about SmartCarry, showing him with my hands where it would be carried on my own body, drawing attention to the actual area it "would be". The whole time he thought I was just showing him an example, and never knew that I actually had one on and was armed!

Thanks again!

Charlie,

Just wanted to let you know that I received my holster in the mail Friday. This morning, Saturday, I decided to "TRY IT ON - JUST FOR SIZE". Tried it with my jeans and an oversize sweatshirt,,, FANTASTIC,,, walked around the house, sat down at my desk, sat in my recliner,,,,, could not believe it. Sooo,,, decided to use a shirt that needed tucked in. I can't believe how comfortable this thing is. I always meet friends on Saturday morning for tea, coffee, and bagels at Panera Bread. I figured this was as good a way to test it out as any,,,, "NO ONE" ever saw it and I made extra effort to stand up, lean over, pick up cups to go get seconds, whatever,,, It was never detected. My best friend carry's and he did not see it all morning. When we all broke up to go home, I told him that I had something to show him but I wanted him to see it at his house. When we got there, I took off my coat and turned around, pointing out that my shirt was tucked in. Then I said, "I'm packing." and I squeezed my pants pockets to show that my gun was not in my pocket. He wrinkled his brow and I reached in my pants and pulled out my .38. He couldn't believe it. NOW,,, I haven't been able to reholster without undoing my belt and pulling down my zipper but that's OK. I really don't expect to ever need to draw. I just like knowing that it's there, I can get it if I need it, and no one else knows it's there.

"GREAT PRODUCT". Gotta tell ya,,,, it was the testimonials on your web site, and the 60 day trial period that convinced me to try it. It honestly looked tooo simple and too ridiculous to believe that it would be comfortable,,,,, butt,,, I was wrong. Trust me when I tell you,,,, you will "NOT" get it back.

Thanks for the quick turnaround.

L. W. - Martins Ferry, OH

Webmaster's note: Reholstering can be done very fast w/o any "undressing" required. We sent L. W. instructions on how to acomplish this in our reply to his e-mail.

Charlie,

Your holster size recommendation for me was spot-on. My Glock 19 with an extra 15-round magazine fits your incredible Medium Size Security holster so well that I DO NOT NEED TO BUY a smaller Glock 26! I'm always pretty darned skeptical of Internet web site claims, but I think you're a GOSH DARNED GENIUS, Charlie! I'll save a lot of money, have a bigger and easier to handle weapon at my disposal, and be able to stick with the same good ol' Glock pistol I've practiced with for 18 years. Man, you can't beat THAT!

My wife and son couldn't tell I was "armed" in either dress pants or jeans. My wife's amateur "frisk" didn't give me away, either. That's just fascinating...

If I may offer free advice to other fans of the Glock 19: Use your stock 15-round magazines instead of ones with "Plus 2" extensions. It made a very noticeable difference in both concealment and comfort.

Thanks, again, for your personal help and service, Charlie

(Please feel free to use this on your web site, just don't put my name on it, please; I'm a fairly cautious man. I hope you make a million bucks off this idea, Sir.)

The letter below was in the Friday, January 11, 2008 newsletter of the United States Concealed Carry Association. If you carry concealed and are not a member of USCCA, then why aren't you? The best source of information for those of us who carry. You can join at their website. We've emphasized the paragraph of interest. ==========================================================================================================

Closing Thoughts

Before I end this, I want to share an awesome letter that I got this week from a member of the USCCA....

------------------------

Hi Tim,

Just a couple of comments to tell you how much I enjoy both the site and the magazine. As a relative new CCW permit holder, just 2 years now, and in my second year of membership in your great organization, I can't tell you how much stuff I have learned from the USCCA. In two weeks I am taking the NRA Pistol Instructor Course and one thing I will highly recommend to all of my students is that they join the USCCA, ASAP! It should be the first thing any CCW permit holder does.

As for me, not only have your newsletters informed, trained and made me much more aware and safer while carrying, but I love the wonderful reviews you do of all the new gear you test and try out. I love the real world info you give your members. The very first purchase I made just after joining the USCCA was the SmartCarry holster for my Glock 23. I absolutely love it. Very comfortable and obviously deep, deep concealment. I have even worn it when wearing nothing but lightweight shorts and sneakers while working outside in the summer.

But I want to thank you for your recent review of CRKT's Mini My Tighe. I have been looking for over a year for just the right size knife for everyday carry. I wanted a quality knife, that was sharp and would stay sharp, had assisted opening, and would be easy for my rather clumsy mitts to open and close singled handedly. But I did not want to pay a small fortune for it. When I read your review of the Mini MT, I went to CRKT's website and looked at the knife. I was very impressed, but when I saw they had the original My Tighe, in a slightly larger frame, I knew I had found the knife for me. I ordered one and had it in a few days and absolutely love it! For only $59.00 (lists for $79.00) and with a life time warranty, I know it will last me a very long time.

So thanks again for a fantastic and must read magazine and for a great website and forum, I learn something new each time I sign on.

I hope you and your family had a great Christmas and continued blessings for a happy and healthy 2008!

Sincerely, Xxxx Xxxxxxx ("xxxxxxxx" on the forum).

Attached is a pic of my new knife with my Custom 1911, looks like they were made for each other!

Dear Charlie,

Thank you for making such a great product for concealed carry! I absolutely love my original one, and can't wait to get the others! Those Marine TUF-CLOTHs are great for keeping a little oil on the guns so that they don't rust from body sweat, too. I find that your SmartCarry is easier to draw from than traditional IWB carry holsters, both leather and nylon. I've never tried a Kydex holster because I find them too bulky and uncomfortable, not a problem with your SmartCarry holster system!

Sincerely,

D. Y. - Aliquippa, PA

Hey Charlie,

I just want to say WOW! After serving 13 years in the Air Force, and using many tactical rigs, holsters, etc., this smartcarry device truly exceeded my expectations. Like many others, I was a skeptic at first, but was soon amazed at the level of comfort and wearability this provides. You have a great product!

Hi Charlie:

My SmartCarry arrived on December 12th. It has only been removed when I climb into bed. (Wives get a bit upset when your weapon of choice in bed is a Glock?) What a great, comforting feeling to travel anywhere, knowing you have protection a split second or two away. This is especially important when going shopping with my wife and grandchildren, traveling in certain areas where any number of situations can quickly develop, and being able to dine out knowing one could protect their loved ones if required. I spend a great deal of the working day in a coat and tie and in front of adults. Even when the coats comes off, the weapon remains comfortably concealed. In a larger city and not being familiar with the areas, this will be the first time I don't have to leave my weapon in the car or hotel room safe. I use to smile when I read other users say they forgot they were carrying. Well, I'll be darned, if yesterday I had forgotten I was carrying. Once I get comfortable with the idea of a Walther 380 barrel pointing directly at my manliness, I'll go ahead from "stage 2 to stage 3, cock & lock" carry. The First Quarter of next year I'll probably go ahead and order a larger pocket for my Glock 36.

Thanks, Charlie, for a great product.

AMAZING! How do you do it? My holster just arrived--about the time I thought you'd ship! I never expected it this soon. Very impressive! I read the instructions, practised a bit, and put it right to work. It sure beats the pocket carry I'd been doing. Thank you for a high quality product.

Subject: Smart Carry Holster Success

Charlie,

I bought the SmartCarry holster about a year ago with some skepticism. I had gone through about a dozen different holster setups, all of which left me printing more than I wanted. I have to be honest, I had fears of drawing and holstering a gun where my prized treasures also lay. I attend college in Utah where it is legal for valid ccw permit owners to carry on campus. Unfortunately, due to more recent events, I could not afford for anyone to notice my gun. After a years use, I can say I am impressed. I've carried this holster everywhere. The design is smooth and snag free which puts all fears aside as the trigger is fairly well protected too. Unwanted mishaps will not be caused by this holster, only by the users negligence. I've taken it on vacation, while I exercise, school of course, and I even graduated with a degree while wearing it. This holster is no doubt the best deep concealment holster I have found. It sits so comfortable, I've come close to falling asleep with it on. The holster is extremely durable. I've gone to the top of mountain peaks and walked around in really humid cold and hot weather. The gun stays dry and protected. The design adds for a very covert and quick draw while the holster retention is amazing as it is extremely hard for anyone but the user to get at it. Through the past year, I have meet many other students with permits who did not carry on campus for the fear of starting a panic if their gun was seen. However, I know several who no longer feel restricted to any location they travel due to holster design. I praise you and your staff for creating a reliable and very well designed holster that provides comfort, security, and peace of mind.

Regards,

D. S. - Logan, UT

Hi Charlie,

Just wanted you to know that I'm so glad that you took the time to talk me into buying the SmartCarry holster at the Gun Show on 12/09/07 in Ft. Myers Fl.

I have a drawer full of holsters that never would quite work like I had hoped.

The SmartCarry sure fooled me after I had worn it for several days......its fantastic. I have a Kel-Tec 32, 380, and the new 9mm. I take the 9mm all the time now.

My wife would always say to me before....you're not going to carry that gun today are you? She hated how there always was some way to tell I had something on me. Now she never knows that I am carrying. You solved my problems.

Thanks again,

I recently purchased one of your smartcarry holsters and am very pleased with it. I'm 5' 10" and about 180 lbs with an athletic build. I carry a glock 23 which is a fairly large weapon to conceal especially with my build. Needless to say no one has ever noticed that I'm carrying. Even my wife can't tell when im carrying, or not unless she asks. As far as being comfortable, I think I've put it to the test. I've drove for five hours with it on and almost forgot i was wearing it. Another day I was going hunting and was debating on wearing it because I was wearing bibs and couldnt wear my hip holster. Needless to say I wore the smartcarry holster and after walking about a mile and a half in the woods, standing on watch for three hours then walking back out the smartcarry was as comfortable as it was when I first put it on. I was concerned about it rubbing my legs with all that walking, but that never happened. I would strongly recommend this holster for anyone. As a matter of fact I'm buying one for a relative who is also in law enforcement and I'm sure he will love it. Thanks for making such a quality product that performs exactly like you say it will.
